Frequently Asked Questions

do you make custom rugs?

Yes! My door is always open for custom rugs in my artistic style. Sometimes I take on customs of other people's designs/logos if it feels like a good fit - other local small businesses/artists ;-)

what size rugs can you make?

Minimum size: 5 inches x 5 inches
Maximum size: 30 inches x 45 inches

what type of yarn do you use?

Typically acrylic, often purchased second-hand as to reduce waste! I find it works with my machine well and gives the brightest colors. But my favorite fiber to tuft with is 100% wool! It holds it's shape and is super satisfying to trim :-)

how are custom rugs priced?

Custom rugs start at $100, but range in pricing based on the size and fiber content! Since each rug is entirely handmade from the initial design concept down to the final trimmings, it does cost a bit more than rugs you'll find at home goods stores. I create each rug by hand with lots of attention + care <3 Not only that, but the machines, tools, and materials themselves cost a pretty penny. Acrylic yarn is more affordable, and suitable for wall rugs. Wool is more premium and very durable for floor rugs!

If you'd like an estimate for your tufting project, send me a message with the size (in inches/cm) and your choice of acrylic or wool yarn!

how do i clean my rug?
  • Spot clean only! Use warm water + soap to gently scrub, absorb excess liquid with microfiber cloth, dry flat.
  • Remove dust + fuzzies with a brush, lint roller, or vacuum hose.
  • Shedding is normal! Trim strays with scissor, do not pull.
  • Avoid hanging in a bathroom or area with lots of moisture.
how do i hang my rug?

Use the attached hanging hardware on the back of your rug to hang on a nail. If you have a floor rug you'd like to hang on the wall, you can simply nail straight through the rug and into the wall - just make sure the nails are long enough to go through but not be visible from the front side of the rug. You can push the fibers over the nail head to cover! Or if you prefer, you can purchase quilt clips to hang damage free.
